Release notes Pairot update 2.0.0 - MATTER

  • Support for MATTER (protocol version 1.4) - Manual will follow soon.
  • Updated KNX library, including support for KNX IP secure and some fixes for ETS 6.3
  • New function to block BCU key writing over the KNX IP interface of the Pairot
  • Support for custom day light saving settings, similar to xxter, for DLS outside of EU.
  • Some security updates on eg the openssl and curl library used
  • Support for the xxter Pro service! You can now use the KNX remote programming functionality and remote web interface features with Pairot as well, if the professional has the Pro service subscription. 
  • Use out latest test version (1.1.0) of the xxter Connect app for this.
  • To link the Matter in the Pairot with iOS or Android: First make sure your phone is in the same network. Go to the webinterface of your Pairot, select the Protocol page. Next Enable Matter, start the Matter setup, and select the "show setup code", to display the QR code.
  • In the iOS home app, or the Google Home app on Android, select "Add accessory", and in iOS scan the code. For Android follow the steps, and scan the code after Google has found the bridge.
  • User authentication change: no need to update the username / password after they have changed on my.xxter.com
  • New reset options:
    • R1/RESET short press (< 0.5 sec) = reboot
    • R1/RESET medium press (1 to 3 sec) = network reset only
    • R1/RESET long press (5+ sec) = factory reset
  • Several bugfixes

1) Please note: HomeKit does not support Switches at this moment, and push button support is only supported with third party apps

Google does not support switches / push buttons at all at this moment

2) Fans are only partially supported in HomeKit and currently not supported by Google.

3) Google does not support tilt at this moment


These limitations will probably be removed in upcoming iOS and Android updates, as Matter is evolving quite fast.

Samsung SmartThings works as well, Alexa currently has trouble linking with Ethernet connected Matter devices. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
